Jessica Weller (born October 18, 1983 in Wissen (victory) ) is a German politician in ( CDU ). She has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since September 1, 2019 .

Life and work

In 2003, Weller passed her general higher education entrance qualification at the Kopernikus-Gymnasium in Wissen . After completing a dual degree in administration at the Rhein-Sieg district and the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, she worked as an employment agency at the Altenkirchen job center in Betzdorf from 2009 to 2011 . From 2011 to 2019 she was employed as a clerk at the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Cologne . Jessica Weller is Catholic . She is married, has a son and lives with her family in Gebhardshain .

politics

Weller joined the CDU in 2004 and has been a member of the district council of the Altenkirchen district since 2014 , where she is, among other things, deputy parliamentary group spokeswoman for the CDU district parliamentary group and a member of the district committee. Since 2019 she has been the first alderman of the Gebhardshain local community and a member of the Gebhardshain local council.

Weller has been a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate since September 1, 2019 . She replaced the retired Peter Enders , who was directly elected in the Altenkirchen (Westerwald) constituency and gave up his mandate on August 31, 2019 after being elected district administrator of the Altenkirchen district in the local election in May 2019 .

In the state parliament she works in the Committee for Social Affairs & Labor, the Committee for Environment, Energy, Food & Forests and the Committee for Equality and the Advancement of Women.

Since August 2019 she has been the state chairwoman of the CDA Rhineland-Palatinate and since 2017 Federal Commissioner for the Women's Union of the CDU in Germany.
