JetConnect is a New Zealand airline based in Auckland and based at Auckland Airport . It is a subsidiary of Qantas Airways and thus a member of the oneworld aviation alliance .

history

The company was founded in July 2002 and began flight operations in October 2002. Until June 9, 2009, JetConnect also operated domestic connections for Qantas in New Zealand, which are now operated by Jetstar Airways , also a subsidiary of Qantas. Destinations were Auckland, Wellington , Rotorua , Christchurch and Queenstown .

JetConnect serves international connections between Australia and New Zealand under the Qantas brand .
