Jhon Jader Durán Palacio (born December 13, 2003 in Medellín ) is a Colombian football player who is under contract with the first division club Envigado FC . The striker has been a Colombian U17 international since March 2019 .

Career

Jhon Durán, born in the Colombian capital Medellín , comes from the prestigious youth department of Envigado FC from the city of the same name , in which the later national players Giovanni Moreno , James Rodríguez and Juan Quintero also played. For the 2019 season , he was appointed to the first team at the age of 15. On February 10, 2019 (4th matchday of Apertura) he made his debut in a 1-0 home win against Alianza Petrolera in the highest Colombian division when he came on for Cristian Arrieta in the 91st minute . In his third appearance on September 1, 2019 (9th matchday of the Finalización) in a 3-3 draw against Rionegro Águilas , he scored his first league goal at the age of 15 years and 261 days and was behind Hárold Romaña in 2002, the Was 26 days younger, the second youngest goalscorer in the Categoría Primera A. In his first season he played nine league games in which he scored a goal.

In the next game year 2020 , Durán rose to become a rotation player at Envigado.

National team

With the Colombian U17 national team , Durán took part in the U17 South American Championship 2019 in Peru . There he was used in two out of four group games and was eliminated from the selection as bottom group with zero points.
