Ji Yun-nam (born November 20, 1976 in Pyongyang ) is a North Korean football player .

Career

Ji appears internationally as a player in the April 25 Sports Group , the club of the Korean People's Army .

The defensive player was first used in three qualifying games for the 2006 World Cup in the North Korean national team. In 2008 he belonged to the East Asian Championship , both in qualifying and in the final round of North Korean squad in the East Asian Football Championship in 2010 , he failed with the team in the qualifying round.

In the successful qualification for the 2010 World Cup, Ji moved up to the last qualifying round and was on the starting line-up in five games. He wore the captain's armband in the decisive 0-0 win against Saudi Arabia on the last match day. At the World Cup finals in South Africa he was part of the North Korean squad and scored the goal in the 89th minute to make it 1: 2 in the opening game against record world champions Brazil; it was North Korea's only tournament goal.
