Jim Doman ( April 8, 1949 - May 1992 ) was a professional American poker player . He won two bracelets in the World Series of Poker .

Poker career

From 1982 Doman took part in renowned live tournaments .

In mid-May 1982 Doman was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas and won a tournament of the No Limit Hold'em variant . For this he prevailed against 191 other players and received a bracelet and a prize of 96,000 US dollars . The following year he won the Mixed Doubles played in Limit Seven Card Stud at the 1983 WSOP and received his second bracelet and $ 20,000 in prize money, which he shared with his team partner and wife Donna Doman . At the 1986 WSOP he made the money three times, including a. he finished eighth in the main event . In January 1987, Doman won the Grand Prix of Poker at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and received the highest cash prize of his career of $ 400,000. He won his last live cash prize shortly before his death at the 1992 WSOP .
