The Jizerka ( Little Iser ) is a left tributary of the Jizera ( Iser ) in the Giant Mountains .
It rises on the northern slope of the Mechovinec (Mooshübel, 1074 m) near Horní Mísečky (Ober Schüsselbauden) west of Špindlerův Mlýn (Spindleruv Mlyn) at approx. 970 m above sea level. NN . The river initially runs to the west towards the Kozelský hřeben (Koschel ridge), where it runs south of the Kotel (Kesselkoppe) in a deep valley between the Kozelský hřeben and the Kozlí hřbet (raft ridge) to the south.
The Heidelberg ridge stretches to the left of the Jizerka valley, five kilometers east on the other side of the ridge lies the Elbe valley almost parallel . The municipality of Vítkovice (Wittkowitz) lies on the river . In the location Hrabačov at Jilemnice (Starkenbach) the Small Iser flows after approximately 21 kilometers in the Iser .
The largest tributary is the Kozelský potok (Koschelbach), which rises on the Lysá hora (Kahleberg). This brook, whose valley lies between the Kozelský hřeben and Vlčí hřeben (Wolfskamm), flows out on the right side at Skelné Hutě (glassworks).
