Joachim Klimek
Joachim Klimek also Klimeck (born November 26, 1947 in Dortmund , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German dentist , university professor, non-fiction author and publicist .
Life
Youth and education
After graduating from high school, Joachim Klimek began studying dentistry at the Philipps University of Marburg in 1968 and completed his studies with a dissertation on the method and application of a radioimmunological proinsulin determination in serum with an insulin-degrading protease from rat liver tissue and received his doctorate in In 1976 he was awarded a doctorate in dentistry (Dr. med. Dent.) . In 1984 he qualified as professor .
Profession and work
During his studies, Joachim Klimek worked as an assistant in a dental practice from 1974 to 1976. He then served 1976-1985 as a research assistant employed at the University of Marburg and first in the years 1985-1990 he taught as a lecturer , he worked as a senior physician of the Department of Dentistry of the Medical Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Philipps -University of Marburg.
Since 1990 he has been employed as the director of the Polyclinic for Dental Preservation and Preventive Dentistry of the Medical Center for Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine at the University Hospital Gießen and Marburg (UKGM).
Joachim Klimek is the co-author of the textbook Introduction to Tooth Preservation , which reached six editions in Germany (and has been translated abroad) and author of relevant publications in the German trade press and international specialist media .
