Joachim H. Knoll

Joachim H. Knoll (born November 23, 1932 in Freystadt , Silesia ; full name: Joachim Heinrich Knoll ) is a German educator .

Life

Between 1952 and 1956 Knoll studied intellectual history, history, German studies and economics in Munich and Erlangen. There he was in 1956 with the work of the elite education in the liberalism of the Empire Dr. phil. PhD .

After graduating, he worked as a journalist for Südwestfunk Baden-Baden for two years. He then worked at the Universities of Hamburg and Bonn and came to the Ruhr University Bochum in 1964 , where he was appointed to the chair for adult education and extracurricular youth education. In 1998 he retired .

His main areas of work included international and comparative adult education research, adult education, youth media protection and entertainment and educational technologies. He also researched and taught on this topic in Vancouver, New York, Syracuse (USA), Hanoi (Vietnam), Taipei (Taiwan) and Pécs (Hungary).
