In the state election 2015 candidate Lenders in 11th place of the CDU regional list. Conflict of interest

In his role as a trade unionist, there were repeated conflicts of interest, in which he sometimes opposed his own party and his coalition partners. During the police protests in 2004, when the police decided to save money, he even considered leaving the party. He said: “Somewhere there comes this point where you really have to show your colors and say: This can no longer be my party, and then possibly, if this policy is not changed, you can also draw the line leaves the party. "

He himself assumed that he would have been “punished” for his civil servant salaries because of his critical stance on savings plans and that he was therefore no longer considered for the 2004 general election.
