Joachim Reiber

Joachim Reiber (born March 18, 1958 in Stuttgart ) is a German historian , Germanist , music journalist and music writer .

Life

Reiber was born as the son of Hannes Reiber . He studied German and history at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen and then moved to the University of Vienna , where he received his doctorate under Herbert Zeman . In 1989 he took up a position as a research assistant at the Wiener Musikverein , and in 1993 he took over the editing of the Musikfreunde magazine published by this institution . In this capacity he has received numerous international awards.

Reiber is also known as a lecturer and author of books on musical topics.
