Joachim Wagner (economist)

Joachim Wagner (* 1954 in Hanover ) is a German economist .

Wagner was born in Hanover in 1954. He studied economics at the University of Hanover , where he received his Dr. rer. pole. PhD and habilitation in 1990 (Economics). Wagner has been Professor of Economics at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg since 1993 . His main research interests are international corporate activities, workplace dynamics , economic analysis of small and medium-sized enterprises and applied microeconometrics and panel data .

Wagner is a “Research Fellow” at the HWWA in Hamburg and at the IZA in Bonn and he is a member of the Council for Social and Economic Data . He was also a research professor at the Max Planck Institute for Economics in Jena .

Together with Gert G. Wagner , Joachim Wagner is the editor of Schmollers Jahrbuch , a specialist journal for economics and social sciences.
