Joan Smalls
Joan Smalls Rodriguez (born July 11, 1988 ) is a Puerto Rican model .
Life
Joan Smalls has worked with well-known designers such as Gucci , Lacoste , Gap , H&M , Givenchy , Roberto Cavalli , Giambattista Valli , Chanel , Calvin Klein , David Yurman , Estée Lauder , and Stella McCartney . She has been a model for editorials for influential fashion magazines such as Vogue in the USA, Australia, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, France and Japan, ID , Dazed & Confused and also the US and Spanish V Magazine . Her covers include Australian, Italian and British Elle , ID and V Magazines.
In the June 2011 issue of Vogue, Joan Smalls was featured with Bruno Mars in a photo series that was shot in Puerto Rico. That same year, she made her first appearance at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
In the film Set It Up (Netflix in-house production, released June 15, 2018), Joan Smalls plays in a supporting role "Suze", the friend of the main actor. In the plot she is described as a "model from Puerto Rico".
In the ranking of the internet portal models.com, Joan Smalls is currently (as of January 6, 2013) in first place.
