Job Koo Yobi
Job Koo Yobi (born January 25, 1951 in Gapyeong , Gangwon-do , South Korea ) is a South Korean Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Seoul .
Life
Job Koo Yobi received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Seoul on February 24, 1981 .
In addition to various tasks in pastoral care, he studied from 1983 to 1986 at the Istituto del Prado in Lyon . From 1993 to 1998 he was director of the National Association of Catholic Workers 'Youth, member of the Commission for Workers' Pastoral Care and responsible for the Istituto del Prado in Korea. From 1998 to 2000 he studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris and obtained a licentiate in spirituality. From 2002 to 2007 he was spiritual at the seminary and from 2007 to 2013 he was again in charge of the Istituto del Prado in Korea and a member of the international council of the community. From 2013 until his appointment as bishop he was pastor in Poi-Dong.
On June 28, 2017 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Sfasferia and auxiliary bishop in Seoul. The Archbishop of Seoul, Andrew Cardinal Yeom Soo-jung , ordained him episcopal on August 17 of that year . Co -consecrators were the auxiliary bishops Timothy Yu Gyoung-chon and Benedictus Son Hee-Song .
