Jocelyn McCauley (* 16th May 1988 in Bryan (Texas) as Jocelyn Gardner ) is an American triathlete and three-time Ironman -Siegerin (2016, 2017, 2019). She is the leader in the list of American triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Jocelyn McCauley has been married to Scott McCauley since June 2007 and they both live in Cincinnati. Her sister Meredith Gardner was also active as a triathlete. Jocelyn first competed in triathlon in 2012. Their daughter was born in 2013.

In May 2014 she started on the Ironman distance for the first time (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running): As the second fastest amateur and winner of the age group at Ironman Texas , she qualified for the Ironman World Championships, where she finished the race as the fastest amateur in October in Hawaii after 9:50:39 h.

Professional triathlete since 2014

She has been a professional triathlete since 2014. Jocelyn McCauley won the Ironman Mallorca in September 2016.

Since 2017 it starts at Chris McDonald in Team Big Sexy Racing (BSR). In March 2017 she won the Ironman New Zealand and at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships) the then 29-year-old finished tenth in October.

Fastest American woman on the 2019 Ironman distance

In April 2019 she finished second at the Ironman Texas and set the fastest time of an American athlete on the Ironman distance with her winning time of 8:39:41 h.
