Jochen-Konrad Fromme (born July 8, 1949 in Haverlah , Wolfenbüttel district ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After high school in 1969 at Wirtschaftsgymnasium Hildesheim Fromme was a soldier on time in the army and went through there also training to become a reserve officer . He then began studying law in 1971 at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , which he completed in 1976 with the first state examination in law. During the subsequent legal clerkship , he completed a supplementary course at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer and passed the second state examination in 1979. He then entered the service of the Braunschweig district government as an assessor and in 1981 switched to the Ministry of the Interior of Lower Saxony as an assistant officer . From 1982 to 1985 Fromme was the head of finance and regulatory affairs in the Northeim district and from 1985 to 1998 he was finally district director in the Hildesheim district . He has been admitted to the bar since 2002 . From June 1, 2010 to June 30, 2013 he was managing director of TLG Immobilien GmbH. After the split-off of the residential part, TLG WOHNEN GmbH also joined forces.

Jochen-Konrad Fromme is married and has two daughters.

Political party

Fromme joined the CDU in 1971. From 1990 to 2007 he was chairman of the CDU Local Political Association (KPV) in Lower Saxony and has been honorary chairman ever since. From 1989 to 2011 he was deputy CPV federal chairman and is now an honorary member of this organization. He was a member of the CDU state executive in Lower Saxony from 1993 to 2010 and was chairman of the CDU state association in Braunschweig from 2006 to 2010.

From 2002 to 2010 Fromme was the CDU representative for emigrants . He was also a member of the CDU federal executive committee from 2002 to 2010 .

MP

From 1998 to 2009 Fromme was a member of the German Bundestag . From 2002 to 2005 he was the representative of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag for emigrants and since November 30, 2005 he has been chairman of the working group for displaced persons, refugees and emigrants . He was also a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee. Most recently, Fromme was a full member of the Budget Committee and a deputy member of the Finance Committee. In addition, he was a member of the Federalism Commission and a member of the parliamentary “control committee” for the financial market stabilization fund .

Jochen-Konrad Fromme has always entered the Bundestag via the Lower Saxony state list. In 2009 he missed moving in because the CDU won numerous direct mandates in Lower Saxony and fewer mandates were awarded via the state list; in his constituency he was defeated by the then Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel (SPD).

Honors

In 1998 Fromme was awarded the German Fire Brigade Cross of Honor of the German Fire Brigade Association in gold.

In 2010 Fromme received the Medal of Honor from the German Association of Towns and Municipalities

In 2010 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
