Jochen K. Kübler

Jochen Karl Kübler (* 8. March 1953 in Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt ) is a politician of the CDU . He was mayor since 1987, from 1994 to 2009, finally, lord mayor of the city of Öhringen and from 2001 to 2011 a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

Kübler grew up in Asperg . After passing the state examination for the higher non-technical administrative service, he became treasurer in Heimsheim and Eberdingen . At the age of 25 he became mayor of Enzklösterle in 1978 . In 1987 Jochen Kübler became mayor and in 1994 lord mayor of the large district town of Öhringen. From 1989 to 2009 he was a member of the Hohenlohe District Council . In January 2009 Kübler announced his resignation from the office of Lord Mayor on July 31, 2009.

In the 2001 state elections , he was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the first time on March 25, 2001 with 50.9% of the vote as a direct candidate for constituency 21 (Hohenlohe) . In the state elections on March 26, 2006 Kübler received another mandate with 49.8% of the vote. He was the only member of the Landtag elected in constituency 21.

On January 25, 2010, Kübler declared that he was no longer running for the 2011 election. Since May 4, 2010 he has been chairman of the citizens' initiative pro Region Heilbronn-Franken eV
