Jochen Kuhlmey

Jochen Kuhlmey ; actually Hans Joachim Karl August Hermann Kuhlmey (* 14. September 1912 in Hinrichshagen , Western Pomerania ; † 11. September 1973 in Munich ) was a German actor , stage and screenwriter .

Life

Jochen Kuhlmey was the son of the manor owner Walter Ernst Hermann Kuhlmey and his wife Margarete Charlotte. He was first seen as an actor in some film productions . Among them were Maturing Youth by Carl Froelich in 1933 with Horst Beck , Jochen Blume and Albert Florath and in 1935 Make me happy by Arthur Robison with Emil Birron , Egon Brosig and Else Elster . From the 1940s he turned increasingly to the writing of scripts . For example, he drew for the books on the literary film adaptation of Hochzeit auf Bärenhof (also as assistant director ) from 1942, directed by Carl Froelich with Heinrich George , Lina Carstens and Paul Wegener, and in 1944 for the two-part film adaptation of Julius Stinde's novel Familie Buchholz with the titles Buchholz Family and Neigungsehe . Again directed by Carl Froelich, Henny Porten , Paul Westermeier and Grethe Weiser played among others .

Jochen Kuhlmey was also active as an author. He wrote the novel Treffpunkt Marseille and the comedy A Bull and Two Virgins . In 1964 he wrote the popular play Der Kaiser vom Alexanderplatz together with Horst Pillau .
