Joe Farrell (* 20th century in Australia ) is a VFX Supervisor , the 2011 for Hereafter - Life after the Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects was nominated.

Life

He attended Freshwater High School in Sydney from 1988 to 1991 and graduated from TAFE NSW Hornsby in Sydney with a diploma in graphic design in 1992 . In the years that followed, he was employed by companies such as Flix Animation , Digital Pictures and Northwest Imaging & FX , where he worked on commercials, music videos and television series such as Outer Limits - The Unknown Dimension and Andromeda .

Further positions followed until he finally started at Digital Domain in Los Angeles in 2003 . There he was involved in digital effects in films such as I, Robot , Æon Flux and Der goldene Kompass . In 2010 he moved to Scanline VFX in Los Angeles, where he was involved in films such as Percy Jackson - Thieves in Olympus , Battleship and Hereafter - Life After . For Hereafter , he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects in 2011 .
