Joe Minoso

Joe Minoso (born September 25, 1978 in Bronx , New York City ) is an American theater and film actor . His best-known role to date is that of firefighter Joe Cruz on the NBC television series Chicago Fire .

Life

Minoso grew up in the Bronx , New York City . He saw his first girlfriend play in a play at school, where she took him backstage and he asked to be able to play. Minoso became part of the school ensemble, hoping to get a role in their Dracula performance the following year. He later graduated from Adelphi University (New York) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts , after which he completed a degree at Northern Illinois University ( DeKalb , Illinois ), which he completed with a Master of Fine Arts .

In October 2016, Minoso married Caitlin Murphy Miles, who is responsible for the make-up on the set of the Chicago Fire series .

Career

Joe Minoso works in both theater and film and television productions. He is a member of Chicago's Teatro Vista , the largest Latino theater company in the Midwest.

Since 2012 Joe Minoso has played the fireman Joe Cruz in the NBC television series Chicago Fire and since 2014 also in the spin-off Chicago PD. In this role, Minoso is dubbed by Jan-David Rönfeldt .

Minoso currently lives in North Side, Chicago. During the filming of Chicago Fire , he temporarily lived with his series colleagues Yuri Sardarov and Charlie Barnett .
