Joey Silvera
Joey Silvera (* 20th December 1951 in Rochester , NY , USA as Joseph Nassivera ) is an American porn actor and director and producer of pornographic films .
Silvera began his career as a performer in live sex shows. In the early 1970s he began working as a professional performer in the rising porn film industry (Golden Age of Porn) and was involved in around 1,500 film productions until the 1990s. He can therefore be regarded as one of the most important male actors in the pornography industry of the 20th century. Due to his rather sensitive and reserved character (which of course was also reflected in the acting interpretation of his film roles) and his inclination to comical and sometimes bizarre interludes, he only played a supporting role in many of his films - often as a sidekick of a more assertive leading actor.
A distinctive feature of Joey Silvera is his mustache ( porn bar ), which he still wears in the typical style of the early 1980s.
Occasionally Joey Silvera also appeared in non-pornographic films. In 1986 he played the role of a male actor in the well-known erotic thriller 9½ weeks in a New York live sex show. There he has sex with his film partner Petina Cole in front of the lovers played by Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger .
Joey Silvera has worked as a director in the hardcore porn industry since the mid-1990s. He produces his films for the Evil Angel (or Evil Empire) label . His productions belong to the Gonzo genre and place a clear focus on anal intercourse ( Butt Row series).
Another hallmark of Silvera is his openness to transsexual pornography : his production series Rogue Adventures (at Evil Empire) exclusively focuses on so-called she-male sex (see trans woman ) and has made this variety of sexuality accessible to a broad mass of pornography consumers. As a performer, Silvera herself had sexually interacted with transgender women in a number of films, which was quite unusual for the time.
In the course of his life, Joey Silvera has received several awards for his professional work, including the AVN Award and the XRCO Award ; both were inducted into the Hall of Fame .
