After Brandt won bronze at the Norwegian Championship 2006 in Heddal with the team, which also included Vegard Haukø Sklett and Andreas Stjernen , he made his international debut in the FIS Cup in November 2007 . In November 2009 he jumped for the first time in the official B-team of Norway in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . Already in his fifth competition in Otepää he reached the points. After further good results, he finished the 2009/10 season in 69th place overall.
At the Norwegian Championship 2010 in Vikersund he won the silver medal with the team. In the following 2010/11 season he again won points in the Continental Cup and ended up 34th overall with 206 points. On December 2, 2011, he was part of the national group for the qualification for the World Cup in Lillehammer . With fifth place, he clearly qualified. In the first competition on December 3, 2011, however, he missed the second run with 44th place, but was able to win World Cup points for the first time on December 4th, 2011 with 17th place. After a 49th place at the World Cup in Harrachov , Brandt returned to the B-team.
Since the end of December 2011 Brandt has been jumping for points in the Continental Cup again. In 2012 he won silver again at the Norwegian Championships with the Nord-Trøndelag team in Voss .
