Johann August von Berger

Johann August Berger , von Berger since 1717 , (born August 27, 1702 in Wittenberg , † July 7, 1770 in Celle ) was a German lawyer .

Life

As the youngest son of Johann Heinrich von Berger , Johann August studied law in Halle (Saale) and Leipzig . Then he lived with his father in Vienna and represented them at the imperial court on behalf of princely houses.

In 1723 he received the title of Hessian Darmstadt secret legation councilor, became court and chancellery advisor in Celle in 1729 and received the title of royal British secret councilor in 1749. This was followed in 1759 by a regular assessor position at the court in Celle, which he held until his death. Since 1730 he was married to Luise Sara von Hugo (1714–1789), a granddaughter of Albrecht Andreas von Ramdohr .
