Johann Christian Techelmann (* 1726 in Marienberg , † 1799 in Johanngeorgenstadt ) was a Saxon mountain master and mining company .

Life

Techelmann was born as the son of the rector Christian Techelmann of the Latin city school in Marienberg in the Ore Mountains . His father died when he was a child. His father's successor in the rectorate took care of the son of his predecessor and taught him the arts and sciences at the Marienberg School.

In 1771 he was employed as a shift supervisor after Adam Heinrich Müller's resignation was sought at the Fortuna Fundgrube near Deutschneudorf .

Techelmann was from 1774 as the successor to Johann Andreas Oetterich called Retz, initially as a Markscheider in Geyer and Ehrenfriedersdorf . After that he was tithe and mountain master in Altenberg, Glashütte and Berggießhübel.

After the death of the miner Carl Traugott Schmidt in 1792, Johann Christian Techelmann took over the management of the Johanngeorgenstadt Mining Authority in 1793 , which at that time also included Schwarzenberg / Erzgeb. and Eibenstock belonged. On May 19, 1794 he took the oath of citizenship and was from this point a citizen of the city of Johanngeorgenstadt. In 1799 Techelmann retired from service due to his death.
