Johann Christoph Neustetter called Stürmer (born March 30, 1570 in Haßfurt , † November 9, 1638 in Bamberg ) was canon , apostolic protonotary and secret imperial council .

Life and career

Johann Christoph Neustetter called Stürmer was the son of Sebastian Neustetter called Stürmer (around 1540–1593) and the nephew of Erasmus Neustetter called Stürmer . In 1579 he became canon in Würzburg and in 1588 in Mainz , in 1599 cathedral dean in Bamberg, at the same time provost to St. Jakob and St. Stephan , in 1610 cathedral provost . He was apostolic protonotary and secret imperial council. With him his family died out in the male line.

In the years 1611 to 1614, the parchment manuscripts in the Bamberg Cathedral Library were uniformly rebound .
