Johann Friedrich Hahn
Johann Friedrich Hahn (born December 28, 1753 in Gießen , † May 30, 1779 in Zweibrücken ) was a German poet.
Life
Hahn, Lutheran, studied law from April 22, 1771 at the University of Göttingen , then theology. There he was one of the co-founders of the Göttingen Hainbund on September 12, 1772 .
Since his studies he worked as a confidante of Johann Heinrich Voss . Because of his German-national sentiment he was called Teuthard by him . An "unfortunate hypochondriac".
Hahn was accepted as a Freemason on May 11, 1774, together with Count Friedrich Leopold zu Stolberg in the Lodge Zu den Drei Rosen in Hamburg . In June 1774 he was a co-founder of the lodge Zum golden Zirkel in Göttingen, where he was promoted to master on November 18, 1774 .
Johann Friedrich Hahn died on May 30, 1779 at the age of 26, probably mentally deranged.
