Johann Georg von Flemming

Johann Georg von Flemming (born May 16, 1679 in Hanover , † April 6, 1747 in Berlin ) was an imperial count , lieutenant general and chamberlain of the Electorate of Saxony .

Life

He was the son of Field Marshal Heino Heinrich von Flemming and Dorothea Elisabeth (née von Pfuel ), the brother of the royal chamberlain Adam Friedrich von Flemming and, thanks to his family, also had the privilege of Hereditary Marshal of Western Pomerania (since 1695).

After completing his studies in Halle, Flemming went on trips and later entered military service in the Saxon region . There he advanced to lieutenant general . Later he was appointed chamberlain.

He was married to Countess Sigrid Katharina Bielke (1681–1765), a daughter of the governor of Swedish-Pomerania Nils Bielke . With her he had the sons Friedrich and Wilhelm .
