Johann (Hans) Georg von Sandersleben (born September 17, 1715 in Weidenthal , † November 24, 1795 in Dahme / Mark ) was an Electoral Saxon chamberlain, chief forest and game master and manor owner .

Life

Johann Georg came from the old, originally Altmark, noble family von Sandersleben from the Archdiocese of Magdeburg with the headquarters in Groß Santersleben . He was the son of Hans Abraham von Sandersleben (* 1678) in Serba and Weidenthal near Querfurt , a great-grandson of Hans and son of Georg Abraham von Sandersleben (* 1629; † 1678) and his second wife Margarethe Magdalene von Starschedel . At first he was ducal-Saxon-Weißenfelser chamberlain and war commissioner . He died in 1739 as a royal Prussian captain out of service .

He was baptized on September 22, 1715 in the castle chapel in Querfurt under the name Hanß George . At that time, his grandmother Dorothea Sophia was still living, widowed von Weidenbach, née von Peruss, from whom his father had bought the manor Weidenthal below Querfurt Castle in 1712. She died on March 16, 1742. In addition to his mother, his aunt also inherited the so-called free homestead or inheritance in Weidenthal that she had left behind, which was not far from the manor there.

Johann (Hans) Georg von Sandersleben embarked on an administrative career at the court in Dresden, where he was appointed chamberlain. As head forest and game master he was in the service of the Electors of Saxony. He worked in Dahme and Jüterbog, among others .

His first marriage to Dorothea Sophie von Schlieben (born September 1, 1721, † August 5, 1757) remained childless. From his second marriage with Johanna Sophie Elenore von Stammer (April 25, 1731 - May 19, 1798), the son Friedrich Rudolph von Sandersleben (April 1, 1764 - June 21, 1844) emerged.

Johann Georg von Sandersleben wore a coat of arms that showed an upright silver plow in red . On the helmet with red and silver helmet covers, an overturned silver plow iron between two buffalo horns , one silver and one red, attached to the same on both sides with a fluttering band of changed color.
