Johann Gottfried Dingler (politician)

Johann Gottfried Dingler (born November 2, 1803 in Zweibrücken ; † October 29, 1875 there ) was a German lawyer and member of the Bavarian State Parliament (1863–1874).

Life

Born the son of a master locksmith , after attending grammar school in Zweibrücken he studied theology and law at the universities in Erlangen and Heidelberg . In 1822 he joined the Old Erlangen fraternity and in 1823 the Corps Rhenania I Erlangen. In 1829 he became a legal candidate and adjunct judge at the District Court of Zweibrücken, and in 1833 a clerk at the Justice of the Peace in Annweiler . In 1835 he became district judge in Kaiserslautern and in 1847 second state procurator at the Zweibrücken court of appeal . In 1849 he became a judge of appeal there.

From 1863 to 1874 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for the 4th constituency in Zweibrücken / Pirmasens. He was a member of the legislative committee there.

He was a Knight of the Order of Merit of Saint Michael 1st Class.

His son was the botanist Hermann Dingler .
