Johann Gottlob Haase
Johann Gottlob Haase also Johannes Gottlieb Hase (born December 14, 1739 in Leipzig ; † November 10, 1801 there ) was a German doctor.
Life
Haase attended the Thomas School in Leipzig . He then studied at the University of Leipzig and received his doctorate in medicine in 1765 . He devoted himself particularly to anatomy and in 1774 became an associate professor at the medical faculty. In 1784 he became a full professor of anatomy and surgery and in 1787 a corresponding member of the Royal Society of Sciences in Göttingen . Haase was rector of the alma mater in the winter semesters of 1789 and 1795 .
Haase died of a heart attack. He excelled particularly in the field of cartilage, muscles, capillary and lymphatic systems. His son Wilhelm Andreas Haase (* 1784) also became a professor of medicine. His son Karl Heinrich Haase is also known.
