Johann Kampferbeke
Johann Kampferbeke (* 1579 or 1580 ; † July 27, 1639 in Lübeck ) was a mayor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. He was married to Christiane Höling, who died in 1660; she was the daughter of councilor Diedrich Höling .
Life
Kampferbeke came from a Lübeck council family, his father Johann Kampferbeke was Ratmann from 1562 until his death in 1595. On December 20, 1625 he was elected to the city council and on December 22, 1634 he was elected mayor and was as such from 1636-39 treasurer as well Head of the St. Petrikirche .
Together with the Syndic Dr. Otto Tanck he represented the city in 1631 as envoy at the convent of the imperial estates in Leipzig , where the measures against King Gustav II Adolf of Sweden were discussed.
His portrait created by Michael Conrad Hirt hangs in the mayor's gallery of the Lübeck town hall .
