Johann Matthias von Ascheberg (* April 5, 1675 , † November 13, 1732 in Venne ) was official droste in the Werne office and real district administrator.

Life

Origin and family

Johann Matthias von Ascheberg grew up as the son of Johann Detmar von Ascheberg and his wife Johann Paulina Recke zu Steinfurt (* 1653) together with his sister Anna Sophia Elisabeth, ∞ with Johann Dirk von der Recke in the ancient Westphalian noble family von Ascheberg . He married Katharina Agnes Elisabeth von Lipperheide zu Ihorst and Buddenberg (1682–1729). The children of the marriage were Anna Agnes Johanna Josepha († 1766, dean in Nottuln Abbey), Anna Angela (∞ Friederich Christian Heidenreich Theodor von Beverförde), Karl Heinrich (Canon), Ernst Friedrich (Amtsdroste) and Johann Matthias (Canon in Münster ).

Career and work

With the revolt to the knighthood of Münster in 1698, Johann Matthias became a representative in the state parliament , a committee made up of the three estates. His task was to regulate the tax system and from 1447 also the feudal system in the bishopric of Münster . The appointment to the official resignation of the Werne office fell in the year 1700. On December 14th 1703 Johann Matthias became Real Privy Councilor and Real Secret War Council . Before 1709 he was appointed real district administrator. He was the tribe.
