Johann Philipp Georg Dominic Vöhlin of Frickenhausen (* 3. June 1705 ; † 1. September 1736 , presumably Mannheim ) was a Baron of the Swabian noble family of Vöhlin , Electoral Palatinate Chamberlain and Captain of the electoral bodyguard .

Live and act

He came from the Frickenhausen line of the noble family von Vöhlin and was born as the son of Johann Ludwig Guidobald Vöhlin von Frickenhausen (1661–1728) and his wife Johanna Elisabeth Maximiliana von Gemmingen-Steinegg (1666–1720), daughter of Eitel Dietrich von Gemmingen , episcopal Speyer chief magistrate in Lauterbourg .

His uncle (his father's brother) Christoph Adam Vöhlin von Frickenhausen (1668–1730) worked as a privy councilor and head stable master of the Palatinate Elector Karl III. Philipp , in Mannheim . Johann Philipp Georg Dominikus probably got there through him.

In 1727 he was promoted to captain of the electoral bodyguard on horseback and also received the rank of chamberlain.

Johann Philipp Georg Dominikus Vöhlin von Frickenhausen died in 1736 and was buried in Mannheim's St. Sebastian's Church , where he received an epitaph that his siblings had erected. It is no longer preserved, but the inscription is preserved in the Thesaurus Palatinus by the regional historian Johann Franz Capellini von Wickenburg († 1752).

The uncle was also buried in this church and had an epitaph there.
