Johann Ulrich Michael

Johann Ulrich Michael (born May 1, 1850 in Wergenstein ; † July 4, 1931 in Chur ) was a Swiss Reformed clergyman .

Life

Johann Ulrich Michael was born in Wergenstein in the canton of Graubünden on May 1, 1850, studied theology and was accepted into the Evangelical-Rhaetian Synod in Chur on July 3, 1876 . Since he was allowed to officiate as pastor in the canton, he became a clergyman in Soglio GR in the same year . Two years later he changed the pastor's post to Langwies . At the same time he was assigned Arosa . After 14 months he moved to Vicosoprano . During this activity he thought about the preparation and replication of parish priests and in 1888 gave a lecture on this subject before the synod. In 1895 he was called to Chur, where he became professor of religion at the Bündner Kantonsschule . In 1916 he became pastor in Brusio . He retired six years later, which he spent in Chur. There he died on July 4, 1931 at the age of 81.
