Johann Zeidler (born August 16, 1596 in Löwenberg , † November 13, 1645 in Leipzig ) was a German medic .

Life

The son of the Löwenberg city judge and lawyer in the Principality of Jauer Martin Zeidler and his wife Anna Wirth had initially started studying philosophy at the University of Leipzig after attending school in his home town . There he acquired on January 28, 1619 the academic degree of Magister , accepted after a medical degree in attack and graduated on May 1, 1623 with the promotion of Doctor of Medicine from.

He then pursued an academic career, was on May 5, 1624 assessor of the medical faculty, on April 21, 1625 collegiate at the small princely college and on February 1, 1626 became professor of physiology .
