Johanna Koehler

Johanna Charlotte Köhler (born December 3, 1939 in Sonneberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament for her party from 1990 to 1999 .

Life

Köhler grew up in Sonneberg, where she also passed her Abitur in 1957. She then studied French and Latin as a teacher at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . From 1966 Köhler worked as a certified teacher for French and Latin, and later also for English. From 1967 to 1990 she taught at the Arnoldischule in Gotha . During her professional career, Köhler completed a distance learning course at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg , which she graduated in 1974 as a qualified English teacher. Johanna Köhler was most recently a student councilor.

Köhler lives in Gotha.

In 1968 Köhler became a member of the GDR CDU . From 1979 she represented her party in the Gotha district council. In the first free Volkskammer elections on March 18, 1990 , she ran for the CDU in the Erfurt district at number 7 on the list and, after the election, moved into the last parliament of the GDR as a member. In autumn 1990 she ran for the state elections in Thuringia and was elected as a member of the state parliament. In 1994 she again succeeded in entering the Thuringian state parliament.
