Johanna Letitia de Jong (born March 5, 1993 in Veenwouden ) is a Dutch speed skater .

Career

Letitia de Jong made her debut in the World Cup in Berlin in December 2014 and took second place in the B World Cup over 1000 m. At the 2018 European Championships in Kolomna , she won the silver medal in the team sprint. In addition, she achieved sixth place over 500 m and fifth place over 1000 m. At the end of January 2018 she became Dutch champion in the sprint all-around competition in Heerenveen . At the 2018 Sprint World Championships in Changchun , she came eighth in the sprint all-around event. In March 2018 in Minsk she achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup with second place in the team sprint and at the end of the season she achieved ninth place in the overall World Cup over 500 m. In the 2018/19 season, she won her first World Cup victory in the team sprint in Tomakomai , achieved third place in the team sprint in Tomaszów Mazowiecki and reached tenth place in the overall World Cup over 1000 m at the end of the season. At the individual distance world championships in Inzell in 2019 , she won the gold medal in the team sprint together with Janine Smit and Jutta Leerdam . In the run over 500 m she finished 13th. At the end of February 2019, she finished 13th in the Sprint World Championship in Heerenveen.
