Johanna Orsini-Rosenberg

Johanna Orsini-Rosenberg (born May 21, 1968 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian theater, film and television actress.

Life and accomplishments

Johanna Orsini-Rosenberg studied violin at the University of Music in Vienna and completed her acting training at the Mozarteum Salzburg with Mag. Art. This was followed by theater engagements a. a. at the Burgtheater Vienna, at the Salzburg Festival , at the Deutsches Theater Göttingen , at the Volkstheater Vienna and at the Schauspielhaus Graz , at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt , at the Rabenhof Theater and at TAG Vienna.

In addition to her engagements on various stages, she produced numerous in-house productions and had guest performances at home and abroad, including 2014/15 “The Wrath of Eleonore Batthyany” in Prince Eugene's Winter Palace in Vienna. Orsini-Rosenberg had her first film role as “Bertha Zuckerkandl” in Mahler in 2009 on Percy and Felix Adlon's couch, and in 2012 the first leading role in Daniel Hoesl's feature film Soldate Jeannette , which was invited to the Sundance film festival and in 2013 at the International Film Festival Rotterdam won the Tiger Award. Johanna Orsini-Rosenberg was awarded the Diagonale Acting Prize in 2013 .

She lives in Vienna with her husband, the Swiss writer Bruno Pellandini, and their son.

Several in-house productions were created in unusual locations, including "The Wrath of Eleonore Batthyany" in the Winter Palace of Prince Eugen in Vienna, "Fräulein Else" by Arthur Schnitzler in the Hotel Orient, "Das Fräulein Pollinger" by Ödön von Horvath in the Gasthaus Haueisen in the Wurstelprater, “Flieger, greet me the sun…” by HC Artmann in the barn, Damtschach / Carinthia and “Driving a Bentley” by Bruno Pellandini in mo.e Vienna and on TAG.

These productions appeared in many places: from Nizhnj Novgorod to Moscow and St. Petersburg, the Schrammelklang in Litschau, St. Gallen, Zurich and London.
