Johannes Gustav Brodzina
Johannes Gustav Brodzina (born August 15, 1837 in Sorau , Niederlausitz , † May 27, 1909 in Wiesbaden ) was a German politician.
Life
Brodzina studied at the Friedrichs University Halle and was there since 1857 a member of the Corps Teutonia . Brodzina was from July 13, 1880 to April 30, 1907 first alderman of the city of Barmen. When the Lord Mayor of Barmen Friedrich Wilhelm Wegner died in office on July 8, 1898, Brodzina temporarily took over the office of Lord Mayor until February 14, 1899. After August Lentze was introduced into office, Brodzina had to take over the office of Lord Mayor on a provisional basis in 1906, as Lentze had been elected Lord Mayor of Magdeburg. Between August 3 and December 10, 1906, he was again mayor until Georg Voigt took office .
