Johannes Hefti (born February 5, 1881 in Lübeck ; † July 7, 1936 ) was an entrepreneur and member of the Lübeck citizenship .

Life

origin

The crest on the monument of the under monument protection standing building of the family tomb in the Vorwerker Cemetery refers to the origin of the family. The Hefti family was the largest and most widely branched family in the Swiss canton of Glarus and has been traceable there since at least the 16th century.

Master carpenter Jost Hefti found his wife in the Hanseatic city. From this marriage there were six children. On 5 May 1911, he was a family first at the cemetery buried . In 2007 a granddaughter lived in the Hanseatic city.

The Luebeck monument is particularly striking with the portico-shaped depiction of the apocalyptic angel .

career

Hefti was a partner in the wholesale company "Gebrüder Hefti", founded in 1904 .

Hefti was elected to the Lübeck citizenship for the first time in 1921 as a candidate for the New Land Owners Association . During this term of office, the elected speaker appeared repeatedly and was a member of the citizens' committee and other standing and joint committees of the citizenship several times .

Hefti has been active in it since the housing office was established. He was one of the founders of the New Land Owners Association and was initially a member of its board as secretary .

At about the same time as Hefti's election as second deputy spokesman for the citizenry, he was also elected second chairman of the association.

Hefti was re-elected in the state election on February 10, 1924. On March 3, 1924, the newly elected citizens elected their new presidium . Gustav Ehlers ( SPD ) was elected spokesman for the citizenry with all votes , with the exception of the communists . Carl Heinsohn ( DVP ) was then elected first deputy with 65 out of 77 votes. In the election for the second deputy of the spokesman , Hefti won the majority with 44 of 79 votes. Now Egon Nickel took the floor as leader of the Communist faction. He criticized the fact that the citizenship had conspired against them and not Erich Klann , who only received the 10 votes of his party, as a representative of the third largest parliamentary group in the citizenship had elected to the third deputy in the presidium. As a consequence, Nickel had to express its distrust of the citizens for his party .
