Johannes Homuth
Johannes Homuth (born March 30, 1839 in Berlin ; † March 2, 1922 there ) was a German local politician and honorary citizen of the community of Friedenau .
Homuth, who had lived in the community of Friedenau (at the time at the gates of Berlin ) since 1853 , had been involved in local politics on a voluntary basis since 1892. He was a member of the school deputation , the school board of trustees and the accounting, tax and health committee. In 1910 he retired from politics and was made an honorary citizen of Friedenau.
Homuth died in 1922 and was buried in the Friedenau municipal cemetery . In 1958 the Berlin Senate decided to declare Homuth's grave the honor of the city of Berlin. In Friedenau, Homuthstrasse commemorates the politician.
