Johannes Zimmerl

Johannes Zimmerl (born July 2, 1968 in Hollabrunn ) is an Austrian organist, church musician and organ teacher.

Life

After graduating from high school in Hollabrunn, he studied concert organ and instrumental pedagogy organ with Herbert Tachezi at the University (formerly Hochschule) for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna , as well as music education (piano with Szigmund Szabo , singing with Kurt Hofbauer ) and history ( University of Vienna ), Graduated with a master's degree , since 1995 he has been organist in Herzogenburg Abbey on the organ built by Johann Hencke in 1752 . Since 1996 he has been teaching at the Conservatory for Church Music in St. Pölten (organ and composition), and from 1995-2011 he also taught at the BRG / BORG St. Pölten, BORG Krems and the KPH Krems .
