Johanneskirche (Joditz)
The Johanneskirche Joditz is an Evangelical Lutheran parish church in Joditz in Upper Franconia . It lays centrally in the place. The parish belongs to the Deanery Hof .
history
A Johanneskirche was first mentioned in 1365. The parish has existed since 1561. The current church was built in 1704. For a long time, the patrons came from the von Stein family .
Description and equipment
The lower floors of the western church tower have a square floor plan. The top floor is octagonal with round arched sound windows . The tower has an onion dome with a lantern. The nave as a hall church has three window axes. The altar and pulpit from the construction period come from the Hof workshop of Johann Nikolaus Knoll , who also furnished the surrounding churches with works of art. There is a painting of the Nativity on the altar . The ceiling of the nave is stuccoed.
