John Aloysius Mone
John Aloysius Mone (born June 22, 1929 in Glasgow , † October 14, 2016 in Greenock ) was a Scottish clergyman and Roman Catholic Bishop of Paisley .
Life
John Aloysius Mone was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Glasgow on June 12, 1952 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Auxiliary Bishop in Glasgow and Titular Bishop of Abercornia on April 24, 1984 . The Archbishop of Glasgow, Thomas Joseph Cardinal Winning , donated him episcopal ordination on May 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Devine , Bishop of Motherwell and Charles McDonald Renfrew , Auxiliary Bishop in Glasgow.
On March 8, 1988, he was appointed Bishop of Paisley . On October 7, 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
