John Baptist Jung Shin-chul

John Baptist Jung Shin-chul ( Kor. 정신철 , born October 22, 1964 in Incheon ) is a South Korean clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Incheon .

Life

John Baptist Jung Shin-chul received on 29 January 1993, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 29, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Cuicul and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Incheon. The Bishop of Incheon, Boniface Choi Ki-san , ordained him episcopal on June 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Seoul , Cardinal Nicholas Cheong Jin-suk , and the auxiliary bishop of Seoul, Basil Cho Kyu-man , and the Bishop of Andong , John Chrisostom Kwon Hyok-ju .

On November 10, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Incheon.
