John Cordts (born July 23, 1935 in Huntsville ) is a retired Canadian racing driver .
Career
John Cordts had some success in sports car racing in his native Canada in the mid-1960s . He was also able to show countable results in the monoposto . In 1966 he finished fifth at Player's 200 in Mosport on a McLaren M2B . Between 1968 and 1974 Cordts drove regularly in the CanAm series . His best result was second in the 1974 Elkhart Lake race.
Cordts also competed in Formula 1 once . In 1969 he drove a Brabham BT23B at the Grand Prix of Canada in Mosport. After a leak in the oil tank, he had to end the race early.
