John Kariuki (athlete, 1986)
John Kariuki (born November 10, 1986 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .
Life
At the age of 14 he came to Japan , where he attended Shiga Gakuen High School ( Shiga Prefecture ) and excelled in Ekidens . After graduating from school, he started for the Toyota Boshoku team.
On November 23, 2005, the 1.71-meter-tall Kenyan set a world record in the marathon relay in Chiba with Josphat Muchiri Ndambiri , Martin Irungu Mathathi , Daniel Muchunu Mwangi , Mekubo Mogusu and Onesmus Nyerre in Chiba with 1:57:06 h .
