John Leipold

John Max Leipold (born February 26, 1888 in Ulster County , New York , † March 8, 1970 in Dallas , Texas ) was an American film composer .

Life

In the 1930s and 1940s, John Leipold was involved in over 380 films as a composer and musical director. He received an Oscar for working on the soundtrack for the western classic Ringo . He also wrote the music for film musicals such as The Big Broadcast of 1936 . His work includes the music for more than 250 productions.
