John McPherson (cinematographer)
John McPherson (born December 30, 1941 in Los Angeles , California , † December 21, 2007 in Westlake Village , California) was an American cinematographer and director .
He began his career in the movie business in the late 1970s as a cameraman and director for the television series The Incredible Hulk . He directed a total of eight episodes in the series. In the 1980s he mainly continued to work for television, so he worked as a cameraman for the TV series Incredible Stories produced by Steven Spielberg , for which he was awarded an Emmy in 1986 . He was only involved in a few feature films as a cameraman, including Jaws 4 - The Reckoning , The Miracle on 8th Street (1987), Number 5 Doesn't Give Up (1988) and Fletch - The Jack of all trades from 1989. He worked as a director until the late 1990s, shooting more than twenty episodes of the series Seven Days .
