John Savidge
John Savidge also John Andrew Savidge (born December 18, 1924 in Nottingham , † December 26, 1979 in Chester ) was a British shot putter .
At the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950 he was seventh and sixth at the 1952 Olympic Games .
In 1954 he won for England starting at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver and was fifth at the EM in Bern .
From 1952 to 1954 he was English champion three times in a row. His personal best of 16.83 m he set on May 8, 1954 in Cardiff .
