Jolien Sinnema (born March 12, 1992 in Meppel ) is a Dutch beach volleyball player .

Career

Sinnema began her international career in 2009 when she and Linde Frölke finished seventh in the U18 European Championship in Espinho . In the same year she played with Rimke Braakman at the Youth World Cup in Alanya . At the U20 European Championships in Greece in 2009 and in Catania in 2010 , Sinnema / Braakman reached the top ten in ninth and fourth respectively. Sinnema completed the youth world championships in Porto and the juniors in Alanya with Esther Hullegie; she finished 19 and 9 in 2011, the duo came fifth in the U20 European Championship in Tel Aviv. In the meantime, Sinnema played two open and several satellite tournaments with Margo Wiltens. She also won the national U20 championship. In 2012 she formed a new team with the multiple World Cup and European Championship participant Marloes Wesselink and qualified for the European Championship in Scheveningen . In 2013, Sinnema played alongside Michelle Stiekema . At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki, Sinnema / Stiekema were eliminated after the preliminary round despite a victory over the English Dampney / Boulton . In 2014 Lauri Luijken was her partner. From 2015 to 2016, Sinnema played again with Rimke Braakman. Braakman / Sinnema took fifth place at the European Games in Baku . At the World Cup in their own country, they were eliminated without a win after the preliminary round. From August 2016 until the end of 2017, Joy Stubbe was Sinnema's partner. At the FIVB 3-Star-Tournament 2017 in Xiamen , Sinnema / Stubbe came fifth. Sinnema has been playing alongside Laura Bloem since 2018 .
